Enjoy the New Chat Update!
We’ve been hard at work adding new features to the server and in the last update we’ve overhauled a system everyone uses daily… the chat! But that’s not all we’ve done! In addition to the chat, we’ve added features taken from your suggestions and fixed a few pesky bugs along the way.
So, what’s new?
The new chat system is now even easier to use and includes a handful of new features! Here are just a few of those changes…
- New MOTD! The messages you get when logging into Survival have seen an update. The new MOTD is far less cluttered and far more useful now!
- Ever get confused by nicknames? Now whenever you hover over a sent message, you’ll see the real username of the sender!
- Clicking a username will auto-fill the /tell command.
- Added cross-server messaging. (Beta)
- Added private chat channels. Say “@[USERNAME]” to activate; any messages sent in chat will only be seen by the user specified without needing to run commands like /reply or /whisper each time.
- Quartz+ are no longer limited by some of the more annoying anti-spam features.
- Improved color chat for Sapphire+. Run /color in-game to pull up a fancy menu and customize your chat!
- New custom death messages! Have suggestions? Let us know!
- Players are now only pinged when their full name is mentioned, preventing weird cases where similar words triggered an alert. Plus, the mentioned name is highlighted in green so you can figure out who mentioned you even quicker than before!
And your suggestions?
- Dye can now be used to change any colored block to that of another by placing an already dyed block in your crafting grid with another dye. (ex. red terracotta to green terracotta)
- /vote links now take you directly to the voting page, saving you a few clicks.
- New Discord bot to help with crafting recipes and more.
- Blue+yellow dye now makes green dye.
- Players will now have all recipes unlocked upon joining the server.
Bye-bye bugs... Hello new features!
- Fixed a bug where /ignore didn’t let you ignore players. (yikes!) You may need to re-ignore previously ignored players.
- New (and much more intuitive) /help and /rules commands.
