Introduction[edit]

McMMO is a plugin that aims to add a challenge to Minecraft, while simultaneously making Minecraft easier for you as you progress. This plugin allows one to develop and level up in certain basic Minecraft skills, which eventually unlocks various abilities to make daily tasks easier for you to do! The level of all skills combined also form a general skill level. This is important, because certain level milestones require a certain general McMMO level. Each skill has daughter skills called 'abilities'.

Commands[edit]

McMMO uses quite a lot of commands. Some are more important than others. Here are some of the most important commands:

Command Action
/mctop Lists the top players according to their general, combined McMMO level (Also known as power level). Add a specific skill behind it to view just the top players in that skill
/mcrank Lists one's rank per skill in the grand list of all players
/mcstats Lists one's level per skill and one's general level (Power level)

Skills[edit]

McMMO consists of multiple skills one can develop. They are usually skills and actions one performs on a daily basis in Minecraft.

Below is a list of all skills with a description and their power-ups:

Gathering Skills[edit]

Excavation is a skill that is centered around digging. One can develop this skill by digging various kinds of blocks one would use a shovel for.

Giga Drill Breaker[edit]

Giga drill breaker is an active ability that triples obtained experience and triples the chance of finding treasure. It also enables instant break on excavation tools. Right-clicking with a shovel prepares the tool, and using it on blocks activates the ability for 2 seconds, increasing by 1 second per 50 levels.

Archaeology[edit]

Archaeology is a passive ability that allows one to find treasure in digable, 'weak' blocks. The higher one's level, the more treasure. No rate is known. Each 'weak' block gives different treasures. Treasures include: Name tags, cocao beans and seeds, but there are a lot more.

Experience Table[edit]

The experience table for excavation is somewhat complex as blocks are bound to their treasures to decide the amount of exp. given. Still, this should clarify enough about the experience gain for a regular player:

Fishing is a skill that is centered around fishing with a fishing rod. Just use the fishing rod at a big water source to get started. It is usually an easy way to level up one's general skill level. Fishing is different from other skills in that it uses tiers. These tiers are:

  • Level 10-24 - Tier I
  • Level 25-34 - Tier II
  • Level 35-49 - Tier III
  • Level 50-64 - Tier IV
  • Level 65-74 - Tier V
  • Level 75-84 - Tier VI
  • Level 85-99 - Tier VII
  • Level 100+ - Tier VIII

Treasure hunter is a passive ability that allows one to get useful loot from fishing. The loot table is altered to fit the tiers, and they are as followed:

Ice Fishing[edit]

Ice Fishing is a passive ability that makes fishing through ice possible! It has no level requirements.

Magic Hunter (20+)[edit]

Magic Hunter is a passive ability that adds to Treasure hunter in that it allows loot to be enchanted. They can form combinations of enchantments that are normally not possible. This table shows which enchantments one can get at each tier:

Master Angler (15+)[edit]

Master angler is a passive ability that increases bite chance. The default chance is 0.2% per tick, but one can increase it by being in a river/ocean biome, being in a boat or fishing during rain. The methods stack.

Shake (15+)[edit]

Shake is an active ability that can give one the chance to take drops from mobs by angling them. Angling them deals the mob 25% of their maximum health and it takes a good portion of durability in return. Below is a table for the shake chance for each tier:

Fisherman's Diet (20+)[edit]

Fisherman's diet is a passive ability that increases the amount of hunger points seafood gives one. It is akin to Farmer's Diet at Herbalism as each set of 20 levels gives one extra hunger point.

Herbalism is all about greenery and farm work. Destroy and give life to nature to level up this skill.

Green Terra (50+)[edit]

Green Terra is an active ability that gives one chance to triple drop rates from harvesting, to replant seeds for free and to convert certain blocks using seeds. Cooldown lasts 4 minutes.

Green Thumb[edit]

Green thumb is an active ability that allows one to increase the growth speed of all single-block crops. The chance of success is calculated via the formula 'level*(13.3%/200%)=chance'.

Shroom Thumb[edit]

Shroom thumb is an active ability that allows one to turn dirt into mycelium. Using a mushroom on a dirt block while one has both a red and a brown mushroom in their inventory allows for a chance to turn a block into mycelium. Each level increases this chance, but the rate is unknown.

Farmer's diet[edit]

Farmer's diet is a passive ability that increases restored hunger from eaten food. Each set of 200 levels gives one extra hunger point.

Hylian Luck[edit]

Hylian luck is a passive ability that gives one a small chance to obtain certain rewards when blocks are broken with a sword. Each level increases the chance by 0.01%. Affected blocks are: Grass, saplings, dead bushes and flowers.

Double Drops[edit]

Double drops is a passive ability that gives one a chance to double their farmed blocks. Each level increases the chance by 0.1%

Mining is all about mining resources with a pickaxe. All blocks one would normally break with a pickaxe count towards it. The rarity of the resource goes towards how many points one gets.

Super Breaker (50+)[edit]

Super breaker is an active ability that adds 5 efficiency levels to the used pickaxe, triples the double drop rates, replaces normal-rate double drops with triple drops and increases mining speed. Right-clicking with a pickaxe prepares the tool, and hitting a block activates the ability. The ability lasts 2 seconds, and each 50 levels it increases by 1 second. Cooldown takes 4 minutes.

Double Drops[edit]

Double drops is a passive ability that allows one to get a chance at getting double of a mined resource. Each level increases the chance by 0.1%. It does not stack with fortune enchantments!

Blast Mining (125+)[edit]

Blast mining is an active ability that allows one to use TNT to mine. Using flint and steel outside of the ignition range activates this ability. TNT explodes immediately during the use of this ability, but its range is extended. Each level increases the ore yield and the general yield.

Bigger Bombs (375+)[edit]

Bigger bombs is a passive ability that is responsible for the increased radius of the TNT during blast mining. Level 375 enlarges the radius from 6.9 to 8.9, level 625 from 8.9 to 9.9, and level 875 from 9.9 to 10.9.

Demolitions Expertise (500+)[edit]

Demolitions Expertise is a passive ability that reduces the damage done to one by TNT during blast mining. Levels 500-749 lower damage by 25%, levels 750-999 by 50% and level 1000 negates damage fully.

Woodcutting is all about cutting down wood. Any wood type works. Rarer wood generally gives more points.

Tree Feller (5+)[edit]

Tree feller is an active ability that allows one to break entire trees by breaking just one block. Right-clicking with an axe prepares the tool and hitting a tree activates the ability. Each 5 levels the duration increases by 1 second starting from level 5 and capping at level 100. Cooldown takes 4 minutes. Tree feller does not break trees bigger than 500 blocks, and at lower levels this is even less. The axe's durability get used as if one was to break the entire tree. If an axe breaks during the use of the ability, one receives 8 damage (4 hearts) and the ability stops working.

Leaf Blower (15+)[edit]

Leaf blower is a passive ability that will make leaves break instantly. A leaf block has a 10% of dropping a sapling when one uses this ability, and the axe loses durability as if the leaves were broken normally.

Harvest Lumber[edit]

Harvest lumber is a passive ability that doubles the chopped resource. Each level the chance increases by 0.1%.

Knock on Wood[edit]

Knock on wood is a passive ability that gives additional loot while using the tree feller ability.

Combat Skills[edit]

Archery is everything one does with bows and crossbows.

Daze[edit]

Daze is a passive ability that makes some shots deal nausea. Each level the chance increases by 0.05%. Daze gives the hit target nausea for 6 seconds and deals 4 additional damage (2 hearts). Daze only works on players. Important note: This statistic might be outdated, so take it with a grain of salt.

Arrow Retrieval[edit]

Arrow retrieval is a passive ability that allows one to retrieve some shot arrows. Increasing in level gives more chance for retrieval, but the exact rate is unknown.

Bonus Damage Table[edit]

Aside from the previous abilities, leveling up archery also increases damage done. This is 10% of bonus damage per 50 levels.

Axes is all about fighting with axes.

Skull Splitter[edit]

Skull splitter is an active ability that allows one to deal more damage to a target. Exact additional damage is unknown. Right-clicking with an axe prepares the ability, and hitting targets activitates it. The duration is 2 seconds, and increases by 1 second every 50 levels.

Critical Strikes[edit]

Critical strikes is a passive ability that doubles damage dealt by axes. It is the same for all levels.

Axe Mastery[edit]

Axe mastery is a passive ability that increases axe damage based on level. Each level increases dealt damage by a fixed value of 0.02 and caps at level 200 with 4 bonus points.

Armour Impact[edit]

Armour impact is a passive ability that increases damage dealt to armour. Each level increases dealt damage by 0.02%.

Greater Impact[edit]

Greater impact is a passive ability that deals 2 extra damage (1 heart) to mob armour. It also adds heightened knockback and makes an explosion sound when doing so. It has a 25% chance of being activated for all levels.

Swords is all about fighting with swords.

Serrated Strikes[edit]

Serrated strikes is an active ability that allows one to deal the bleed effect to their target. Right click with a sword to activate. Duration depends on swords level of the player, but the rate is unknown.

Rupture[edit]

Rupture is a passive ability that makes the target bleed, taking damage every 2 seconds. Each level the chance of dealing rupture increases by 0.1%. Duration is rupture depends on level, but the exact rate is unknown. Ruptures can stack if applied multiple times on the same target. There are three bleeding types:

  • Minor - takes 2 hearts and lasts for 1 tick
  • Major - takes 3 hearts and lasts for 3 ticks
  • Plus - Takes 5 hearts and lasts for 5 ticks

At level 750+, rupture lasts one additional tick.

Counter Attack[edit]

Counter attack is a passive ability that counts the damage one takes, and returns half of it to the attacker. The chance of counter attacking increases each level, but a rate is unknown. It does not work if one has just half a heart left. Only works for melee attacks, and not for ranged attacks.

Taming is all about taming pets that can aid the player. Though all mobs count, wolves, horses and cats give more points when tamed compared to other mobs.

Call of the Wild[edit]

Call of the wild is an active ability that allows one to summon an animal by their side for combat. To activate, one must have 10 bones for a wolf, 10 raw fish for a cat, and 10 apples for a horse. Left-click into the air while crouching and holding these items.

Beast Lore[edit]

Beast lore is an active ability. It allows one to inspect their pets by holding a bone and left-clicking them.

Environmentally Aware (100+)[edit]

Environmentally aware is an active ability used by summoned wolves to teleport to their owner when nearing danger. It makes them practically immune to fall damage and environmental damage.

Gore (150+)[edit]

Gore, despite its name, is not entirely what it sounds like. Gore allows one's summoned wolf to deal critical strikes, giving them the bleeding effect (No visual bleeding, that is.) The chance goes up by 1% every 10 levels.

Pummel (200+)[edit]

Pummel is an active ability that makes summoned wolves have a chance of dealing knockback. The chance of dealing knockback is unknown.

Fast Food Service (200+)[edit]

Fast food service is an active ability that gives 50% chance that summoned wolves heal themselves, and give their owner minor food items.

Thick Fur (250+)[edit]

Thick fur is an active ability that makes summoned wolves take only 50% of the dealt damage.

Holy Hound (350+)[edit]

Holy hound is an active ability that allows summoned wolves to be healed with poison and magic.

Shock Proof (500+)[edit]

Shock proof is an active ability that makes summoned wolves take only 1/6th of damage dealt by explosions.

Sharpened Claws (750+)[edit]

Sharpened claws is an active ability that makes summoned wolves deal 4 more damage per hit (2 hearts).

Experience Table[edit]

In the skill taming, one can get experience through taming and combat. This table displays experience one can get through taming:

Taming wolves does not give experience. However, a wolf gives one 10 XP per damage point dealt by it. This is calculated before damage reduction by armour is calculated.

Unarmed is fighting with one's fists.

Berserker[edit]

Berserker is an active ability that allows one to do more damage with their fists and to break weak blocks quicker. To activate, right click a block with an empty fist and then hit the desired mob/block. Leveling up makes berserker last longer and makes breaking weak blocks faster. Berserker makes one do 50% more damage with their fists.

Steel Arm Style[edit]

Steel arm style is a passive ability that adds extra damage to hits done with fists. The base extra damage is 3 and get increased with 1 point per 50 levels, capping at level 250.

Arrow Deflect[edit]

Arrow deflect is a passive ability that allows one to deflect arrows. Deflected arrows have a low chance to hit the person that shot the arrow. Each level increases the chance of deflection with 0.05% till 50% at level 1000.

Disarm[edit]

Disarm is a passive ability that allows one to disarm their opponent, making them drop their item. Each level the chance increases by 0.0333% till 33% at level 1000. This is a very powerful feature, as a player might be able to get a strong player to drop their valuable tools.

Iron Grip[edit]

Iron grip is a passive ability that is the antonym of disarm. Each level the chance increases by 0.1% till 100% at level 1000. It is a recommended skill to develop, as reaching lvl 1000 makes disarmament impossible

Tridents involves using the trident tool.

Impaling Bonus[edit]

Impaling Bonus is currently the only trident skill. Each additional Tridents level adds half a damage point, although the definition of a damage point is currently unclear.

Maces is centered around using the mace. It is the newest addition to the plugin.

Crush[edit]

Crush is a Mace skill that adds half a damage point per Maces level. The definition of a damage point is yet unclear.

Cripple[edit]

Cripple is a Mace skill that slows down players and mobs still alive after being hit by a mace. There is no fixed chance of applying slowness known yet. Targeting a player grants them Slowness I for 20 ticks, and targeting mobs grants them Slowness II for 30 ticks.

Miscellaneous Skills[edit]

Acrobatics is all about parkouring skills! Make jumps and land safely by using the shift key in time to get less damage.

Roll[edit]

Rolling is a passive ability that allows one to lessen/negate fall damage. Every level, a chance of a successful roll increases by 0.1%, negating 3.5 hearts of damage at the max. This also includes a graceful roll, which is an active ability that can be done by sneaking when nearer than 20 blocks away from the ground. This can negate up to 7 hearts of damage.

Dodge[edit]

Dodging is a passive ability that halves taken combat damage. Each level increases the chance of dodging by 0.025%

Alchemy is all about brewing. It features custom potions not native to vanilla MC.

Catalysis[edit]

Catalysis is a passive ability that increases brewing speed

Concoctions[edit]

Concoctions are potions that are not obtainable in vanilla MC. They are:

  • Haste - level 100 - Regular carrot
  • Absorption - level 200 - Nether quartz
  • Mining fatigue - level 200 - Slime ball
  • Health boost - level 350 - Regular apple
  • Hunger - level 350 - Rotten flesh
  • Nausea - level 500 - Brown mushroom
  • Blindness - level 500 - Ink sack
  • Saturation - level 750 - Fern
  • Decay - level 900 - Poisonous potato
  • Resistance - level 1000 - Golden apple
Alchemy Experience Table[edit]

Experience table for alchemy experience gain:

Made independently. Below some terminology used in the table to clarify:

  • First Brew - Water bottle to awkward potion
  • Second Brew - Awkward potion to different potion
  • Third Brew - Strength/Length increase via redstone/glowstone
  • Fourth Brew - Splash potion/Lithering potion conversion with gunpowder/dragon's breath

Smelting is mostly a passive skill. It does not count towards one's general level.

Fuel Efficiency[edit]

Fuel efficiency is a passive ability that increases burn time of fuel. Each level increases the multiplier by 0.04. Important note: One must put in and take out the ore manually for this to apply.

Second Smelt[edit]

Second smelt is a passive ability that gives one a second copy of the smelted item. Each level the chance of a second smelt increases by 0.05%. Important note: One must put in and take out the ore manually for this to apply.

Vanilla XP Boost[edit]

Vanilla XP Boost is a passive ability that gives one more XP when smelting. There is no known fixed rate, but the cap is at level 1000 akin to any other ability.

Flux Mining[edit]

Flux mining is a passive ability that allows one to sometimes smelt ores that they are mining. To perform this, one must put an undamaged pickaxe in a furnace to get a 'Flux pickaxe'. When one is above level 250 in mining, there is a ~33% chance that the mined ore is smelted in the action.

Salvaging is a skill that regains base materials from used items. The skill has become useless, as the required level 25 for repairing is unobtainable due to the skill repairing being unavailable in its entirety.
Repairing is a skill that is all about repairing tools. This skill has been disabled on the server, and can therefore not be used anymore. Whether the skill will return is unknown.
