Prism Party is now cross-platform!

Prism Party is now cross-platform!

If you've been playing on Prism for awhile, this statement may sound familiar to you. In the past, Bedrock players have been able to connect to the server, but only if they had a valid Java account and linked it to their Bedrock account before joining. Understandably, this was a barrier to entry for many Bedrock players. As of today, this barrier has been removed; connecting to Prism Party should be no different than connecting to any other Bedrock server.

Still, there are a few things to note:

  • Compatibility isn't perfect. Prism Party is primarily a Java server, and was built with the Java platform in mind. Things like chat colors, menus, player skulls, skins, disguises, and portals may not work correctly, or at all.
  • While we'll look into bugs affecting Bedrock, we won't apply any fixes which negatively impact Java players.
  • If you want to play the same character across both platforms, you still need to link accounts. If your accounts are unlinked, your Bedrock profile will count as a new player with a separate inventory. You can link your accounts online here.
  • Unlinked Bedrock players will have a period/dot before their name. (Eg: .BakiDance) The dot is considered a part of the username, and must be included in commands.

That's really it!

We hope this change makes it easier for everyone to play on the server!
