Costco is the main place when it comes to resources. It is home to various farms and resources, of which we will address the most notable ones. Costco is a community-run place, which it was initially not.

The nice thing is: It is all for free, as long as you stick to the rules and take proper care of the place.

The main building at Costco is probably what attracts your attention the most at first. What is interesting about it though, is that it has not always been like this. It was not until the end of 2022, that it looked like this. Its predecessor, a mostly blackstone building with massive spikes, used to be the centre of attention ever since Costco started. The building is inspired by Victorian architecture, and currently houses storage for building materials for the further development of Costco. It also features an enchanting room for your enchanting needs, and it has a visual ode to previous Costco staff and the current maintainers of Costco. The building has been built in only a couple days, but is still bound to change a little bit.
The main Costco building

The farms are the first thing you will see when you go to Costco. With their massive size, they take up ~1/3th of entire Costco. It is home to wheat, potatoes, carrots and beetroots. Other than these massive fields, Costco also has smaller farms for pumpkins, melons, berries, cocoa, cacti and chorus flowers, all adjacent to the big farms.
Small part of the Costco farms

The villager hall is yet another big building at Costco. This place has also been built fairly recently and also quite quickly with good teamwork. It is home to all kinds of villagers to get the goods you need if you do not own villagers. From just potatoes to exploration maps to mending, this place has it all. Did you get any items from villagers that you do not want, or you got some spare emeralds? You can put those in the chests behind the staircase for others to use.

Probably the biggest thing at Costco, it is a massive sugar cane farm to level up your MCMMO herbalism skill (Or if you want to stockpile on cake, that is). Though it is a simple concept, it is an absolute must-have for something like Costco. Besides the sugar cane itself, there is a small railway that can take an excess of sugar cane with it back to Costco for you to use later, so that you will have to walk back and forth less often.

Of course, Costco has more buildings than just these. Below you can find a list of all with a short description and location:

  • Mob Pens - Small mob pens intended for breeding mobs. Should not be killed. A cluster of them is near the massive food farms, and another one is near the villager trading hall.
  • Wool Farm - Costco also has a wool farm, automatic at the surface and manual in the basement. It is located near the villager trading farm as well.
The underground part of the sheep farm of Costco
  • Froglight Farm - Located near the sheep farm, it is a simple farm that allows one to get froglights. It is bound to be changed a bit by seperating each colour of froglight.
  • Apiary - Located near the food farms, it is home to lovely bees. Here, you can get beewax and honey without having to bring any tools yourself.
  • Iron and Mooshroom Farm - Close to the apiary, it is a small iron farm for your basic needs as well as the home of a couple of mooshrooms for stew. Make sure not to annoy the cat, or it will break the rules of the Geneva convention.
  • Egg Farm - Right next to the mooshrooms, is a small egg farm. It is a great resource for the MtE-plugin we have on this server (Totally not an #ad for another page I worked on :) ).
  • Kelp Farm - Right next to that, is a kelp farm. It does not do much, but it could be a great alternative to coal when it comes to fuel.
  • Leather Farm, Ink Farm and Nether Fungi Farm- On the opposite side of the road the kelp farm is at, are two elevators going down. These features the ink farm and the leather farm. The leather farm uses the Rotten Flesh to Leather plugin to create leather from zombies. The ink farm is similar in nature, but does not rely on a plugin. The Nether Fungi farm is close to the wood shed, and is redstone-powered.
  • General mob farm towers - Next to the leather farm, are two towers that feature a general mob farm. Useful for if you need certain items or just some XP.
  • Wood Shed and Forest - Close to the main Costco building, you can find a wood shed. It is home to all kinds of saplings and leaves. Right next to this is an area for chopping wood of any kind.
  • Nether Portal- The nether portal can be found near the chorus farm. At the other side of the portal, there is currently not much to see other than a nether fortress. This is bound to change very soon, and it will house nether-related farms in the future.

Costco wouldn't exist if it were not for people to make and maintain it. Costco started as a small project by a player named Believe, and gradually become bigger with more people helping out. When Eldaiza took over, a small staff team was formed to maintain and build Costco. This did not last forever, and eventually a small group of active Prism players formed a group to maintain and improve Costco. These people are not necessarily staff, but it is a recognized group that has contact with the founder Believe. At the top floor of the main Costco building, you can find a list of past staff and the current upkeepers.
