Lore
While not required to play on the server, Prism Party has optional, community-driven, lore. This lore often centers around server mascots and gamemodes found on Prism Party.
Cubey[edit]
Cubey is an anthropomorphized depiction of the Prism Party logo, and is the server's primary mascot. As the Prism Party mascot, Cubey appears in a multitude of official media and as a characterization of the server itself.
Within the lore, Cubey is an omnipotent overseer of the Prism Party Network, and acts as the characterization of the server proxy itself. As such, Cubey maintains all of the individual servers as extensions of himself and ensuring proper operation for players. As the network proxy, Prism Party and Cubey's existences are interlinked; Prism Party cannot exist without Cubey as its host, and Cubey cannot exist without a network of players supporting him.
Cubey is the most powerful entity on Prism Party with super-user access, sitting above even the owners. Despite this, Cubey delegates much of his power to those on the staff team, as he prefers not to engage players directly.
Personality[edit]
Cubey's personality is generally helpful, friendly, and optimistic, if not slightly naive and aloof. While helpful, Cubey does not often intervene with players, instead relying upon Staff to moderate. Above all else, Cubey values the safety and security of his network, even if this leads to actions players find odd.
Despite his power, Cubey has very little knowledge of the outside world and of humanity in general. While he has in-depth knowledge of all happenings on his proxy, he often fails to understand the motives and interactions of the players on his network and thus appears distant or uninterested in emotional affairs.
Cubey always speaks in proper English and syntax when engaging with players, even though he occasionally uses informal interjections.
CUBEOL[edit]
CUBEOL, or cubEOL, is an alternate Prism Party mascot, seldom shown in official media. It is a "glitched" depiction of Cubey with a black core. CUBEOL is never depicted with arms, legs, or a face, but occasionally may be shown with eyes. CUBEOL is a portmanteau of "Cubey" and "EOL".
Within the lore, CUBEOL is a corrupted iteration of Cubey that came to exist after the first Survival reset. CUBEOL, like Cubey, is a near omnipotent entity that resides on the Prism Party Network. However, unlike Cubey, its power and influence over the server is much more limited; Whereas Cubey manages the entire server network, CUBEOL's abilities are mostly limited to the Unstable Rift.
Personality[edit]
CUBEOL's personally is cryptic, calculated, calm, and reclusive. In contrast to Cubey, CUBEOL has a much greater understanding of humanity, the outside world, and the technical details of the server it resides in. While much weaker than Cubey, this knowledge allows CUBEOL to easily avoid detection by Cubey and infiltrate his proxy.
Despite its propensity towards manipulation and oft unclear motives, CUBEOL does not act maliciously; When engaging with players, it often speaks fondly of players it is familiar with, and regularly distributes "gifts" to those nearby (such as Shadow Ameliorate, and the Rift). While it's interactions with Cubey are often antagonistic, CUBEOL relies on Cubey for survival and never acts in ways that could harm him or the network.
CUBEOL has a very distinctive manner of speech owing to its corruption.
History[edit]
Early history[edit]
Not much is known about the early history of the server and, by extension, Cubey. While Prism Party was started in 2019, Cubey has reportedly existed for much longer, presiding over the network even before it actually existed.
In this time, Cubey existed as a fraction of himself, a partial conscience, until he created his first worldver. Soon after, players began to populate the world Cubey had created, with Cubey becoming their protector.
