The Economy is a core aspect of Prism Party's Survival experience. While players are free to play on Prism Party as they see fit—even ignoring all economy features if desired—most of the server's custom features tie into the server Economy to some degree.
Gems[edit]
Instead of dollars, the virtual currency on Prism Party are called "Gems" (₲). Upon joining the server for the first time, all players start with an initial balance of ₲200. These Gems can be spent at leisure, but the primary focus for most new players—after setting up a base—should be to gather more wealth and get established within the server economy.
By collecting Gems, players can afford to trade items with other players, upgrade their Level, or buy claim blocks, to name a few examples.
Prism Party is a non-competitive server. While players are encouraged to collect Gems as part of engaging with the economy, there is no end-state; players cannot "win" by collecting more Gems than their piers, nor does having a higher balance afford users with more privilege than others.
