Introduction[edit]

McMMO is a plugin that aims to add a challenge to Minecraft, while simultaneously making Minecraft easier for you as you progress. This plugin allows one to develop and level up in certain basic Minecraft skills, which eventually unlocks various abilities to make daily tasks easier for you to do! The level of all skills combined also form a general skill level. This is important, because certain level milestones require a certain general McMMO level.

Skills[edit]

McMMO consists of multiple skills you can develop. They are usually skills and actions you perform on a daily basis in Minecraft.

Below, you can find a list of all skills with a description and their power-ups:

Excavation is a skill that is centered around digging. You can develop this skill by digging all kinds of blocks you would use your shovel for.

Fishing is a skill that, well, is centered around fishing with your fishing rod. Just use your fishing rod at a big water source to get started. Usually quite an easy way to level up your general skill level.

Herbalism is all about greenery and farm work. Destroy and give life to nature to level up this skill. Recommendation: Get to the sugar cane farm behind Costco to quickly level this up!

Mining is all about, well, mining resources with your pickaxe. All blocks you would normally break with a pickaxe count towards it. The rarity of the resource goes towards how many points you get. Recommendation: Visit the custom End and mine Amethyst veins!

Woodcutting is all about cutting down wood. Any wood type works. Rarer wood generally gives more points.

Archery is everything you do with bows and crossbows. Recommendation: Visit the pigman farm in the Nether to quickly level up!

Axes is all about fighting with axes. Recommendation: Visit the pigman farm in the Nether to quickly level up!

Swords is all about fighting with swords. Recommendation: Visit the pigman farm in the Nether to quickly level up!

Taming is all about taming pets that can help you. Though all mobs count, wolves, horses and cats give more points when tamed compared to other mobs.

Unarmed is simply fighting with your fist. Recommendation: Visit the pigman farm in the Nether to quickly level up!

Acrobatics is all about your parkouring skills! Make jumps and land safely by using the shift key in time to get less damage. Generally one of the easiest skills to level up without a lot of effort.

Roll[edit]

Rolling is a passive skill that allows one to lessen/negate fall damage. Every level, a chance of a successful roll increases by 0.1%, negating 3.5 hearts of damage at the max. This also includes a graceful roll, which is an active ability that can be done by sneaking when nearer than 20 blocks away from the ground. This can negate up to 7 hearts of damage.

Dodge[edit]

Dodging is a passive skill that halves taken combat damage. Each level increases the chance of dodging by 0.025%

Alchemy is all about brewing. Go mix your own potions and profit from your skills, or prank your friends with potions (Keep to server rules :) ). Also features custom potions not native to vanilla MC. Considered to be the most difficult skill.

Catalysis[edit]

Catalysis is a passive ability that increases brewing speed

Concoctions[edit]

Concoctions are potions that are not obtainable in vanilla MC. They are:

Haste - level 100 - Regular carrot
Absorption - level 200 - Nether quartz
Mining fatigue - level 200 - Slime ball
Health boost - level 350 - Regular apple
Hunger - level 350 - Rotten flesh
Nausea - level 500 - Brown mushroom
Blindness - level 500 - Ink sack
Saturation - level 750 - Fern
Decay - level 900 - Poisonous potato
Resistance - level 1000 - Golden apple

Smelting is mostly a passive skill. It does not count towards your general level, but is quite easy to level up if you are also doing mining. Recommendation: Ask others if you can smelt their ores for them.

Fuel Efficiency[edit]

Fuel efficiency is a passive ability that increases burn time of fuel. Each level increases the multiplier by 0.04. Important note: One must put in and take out the ore manually for this to apply.

Second Smelt[edit]

Second smelt is a passive ability that gives one a second copy of the smelted item. Each level the chance of a second smelt increases by 0.05%. Important note: One must put in and take out the ore manually for this to apply.

Vanilla XP Boost[edit]

Vanilla XP Boost is a passive ability that gives one more XP when smelting. There is no known fixed rate, but the cap is at level 1000 like with any other ability.

Flux Mining[edit]

Flux mining is a passive ability that allows one to sometimes smelt ores that they are mining. To perform this, one must put an undamaged pickaxe in a furnace to get a 'Flux pickaxe'. When one is above level 250 in mining, there is a ~33% chance that the mined ore is smelted in the action.

Salvaging is a skill that regaining base materials from items you use. The skill has become useless, as the required level 25 for repairing is unobtainable due to the skill repairing being unavailable.
