When connecting to Prism Party using a Bedrock edition account, a "." will prefix your username while connected to the server. This serves as a distinction between Java Edition and Bedrock edition accounts in cases where there's a conflict between two identical usernames. However, for those playing on multiple platforms (ie. Java and Bedrock), this safeguard is more of a hindrance.
It is possible to "link" your Bedrock and Java accounts together, allowing both to operate as a single, unified, account while on Prism Party. In other words, your player position, inventories, stats, and ranks (and all other data) will be synced across both editions.
Global linking[edit]
"Global" Linking allows you to connect your Java and Bedrock edition accounts across all crossplay-enabled servers running Geyser (including Prism Party). When your accounts are linked, you'll utilize the Java account's location, inventory data, and achievements, regardless of the platform you sign in from. This effectively synchronizes player data. However, the player data from the Bedrock account remains inaccessible until you unlink.
To safeguard your Bedrock progress, it's advisable to transfer everything, including enderchest contents, items, and armor, to the Java account before linking. If you forget to do this, you can simply unlink, transfer your belongings, and then proceed to link again.
Online linking[edit]
To establish a connection between your Bedrock and Java accounts, you can log in with both your Bedrock and Java credentials as a means of confirming your access to both accounts. This is done via Geyser's online linking portal here.
Please read the details and instructions on the external page before proceeding! Prism Party does not manage the online linking portal and is subject to change.
Server linking[edit]
Server linking is another available option for global linking. To connect your Bedrock account with your Java account, you can utilize the Global Linking server. This Minecraft server is accessible on both Bedrock and Java Edition, serving the exclusive function of linking or unlinking individuals.
| Address | link.geysermc.org |
| Bedrock port | 19132 |
| Java port | 25565 |
- Join the above server with both your Java and Bedrock edition accounts.
- Start the linking process by typing /linkaccount on either account.
- You will be given a code. On the other account, run /linkaccount <code>.
- If linking succeeded, you will get kicked from both accounts and able to rejoin on Prism Party.
Local linking[edit]
Prism Party also supports local linking. Local linking allows you to link your Java and Bedrock edition accounts on Prism Party only, while leaving them separate on all other servers. To link locally, run /linkaccount while connected to any Prism Party server and follow the given instructions.
Unlinking[edit]
To unlink your Java and Bedrock accounts, rejoin the server in which you originally linked your accounts (either the Geyser Server Linking portal, or Prism Party itself), and run /unlinkaccount.
