Survival is Prism Party's predominant gameplay server and the first server to be added to the network. Survival is a permanent player-versus-environment server where the main gameplay premise is to gather resources, craft items, explore, build, and survive.
While there are a handful of optional goals for the player to work towards—ranging from vanilla objectives such as Freeing the End, to custom objectives such as obtaining Paragon equipment and traversing the Survival/Unstable Rift—the primary goal of Survival is whatever the player makes of it.
Prism Party offers many enhancements to its survival mode over vanilla. Most of these enhancements add quality-of-life features, improve the multiplayer experience, or add unique content not found in the base game. Most custom features on Survival, such as the economy, are optional or can be disabled in the player's Settings.
Seasons[edit]
Prism Party's Survival server resets on a scheduled basis, often every two years or following a community vote. During a reset, the world is archived and a new world map is created, giving players a fresh start. These resets, in turn, are referred to as "Seasons".
Seasons on Prism Party often correlate with major feature updates on the server and include major changes to plugins, server features, and world generation. Over the course of its operation, Survival has seen a total of three seasons.
Worlds[edit]
Spawnia
Technically the first world players have access to, Spawnia is a protected world containing Spawn and all its associated regions. Spawnia is the only world that persists between seasons.
Overworld
The main playable world on Survival and the first where players are teleported to after completing the Tutorial. The Overworld features custom terrain generation and is the largest habitable dimension.
The Nether
The Nether is a hell-like dimension accessible after building a Nether portal. The Nether uses standard Vanilla terrain generation, with the exception that dimensional scaling is disabled.
The Nether
The End is a barren wasteland characterized by floating islands and End Cities. The End features custom generation, adding new biomes and structures to its roster and can be accessed after completing an End portal.
Unstable Rift
The Unstable Rift is a custom dimension exclusive to Prism Party. Acting as a resource world, the Rift contains every sought-after resource in the game but at the cost of being the most difficult dimension. Once the Rift Fissure is opened, all players online can access the rift until it closes.
